Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), is a light, skin stretching massage that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen area. After liposuction procedure there is an increase of inflammation due to the normal process of healing. MLD is a unique technique to remove the fluid that your body produces and some of the fluid that’s lefts behind from the liposuction. The therapist will express the fluid from your abdomen, back, and sides to get rid of the excess fluid underneath the skin, allowing it to stick down to the muscle, softening the skin and preventing fibrotic tissue formation.
